Calvinist Cadets
All boys 9-13 years of age are welcome to join us for Calvinist Cadets! We meet every other Monday, at 7 pm, from October to June. The boys are earning their badges, building things, forming friendships, and learning from God’s Word.
Prayer Meeting
Prayer meetings are held every Wednesday evening, year-round. Each meeting includes a devotional, psalm-singing, prayer, and fellowship. All ages are welcome! On the last Wednesday of the month, we meet at the church building.
Youth Group
All youth aged 14-18 are welcome to attend Youth Group. They meet every second Friday, at 7 pm, from October to June. This year, in addition to games and social activities, they are studying the topic of humility.
Men’s Bible Study
We meet at the church building every second Saturday morning. We just finished a study of Paul’s letter to the Philippians and are embarking on a new study considering what the Bible says about leadership in His Church. Interested? Come and join us!
Men’s Breakfast
All men 15+ are welcome to join us at our church building for a Men’s Breakfast every 4th Saturday. There is no cost to attend. Donations welcome. Doors open at 7 am.
Dundas Manor Ministry
Twice per month, a worship service is held at Dundas Manor, a nursing home in Winchester. Each service begins at 10:30 am on Sunday and includes a presentation of the gospel by one of the men in our congregation.
GriefShare
GriefShare is a ministry to help adults navigating the loss of a loved one. The current 13-week session will end in December. Next session dates are still TBD. To learn more, visit griefshare.org, go to “Find an Event,” and select the Russell RP Church listing.
Women’s Bible Study
Join us as we dig into God’s Word! The ladies are in the midst of a 6-week deep-dive into Paul’s letter to the Galatians. We meet at the church building every second Saturday morning, at 9 am.
Threads of Love
(Ottawa East)
Threads of Love is a sewing ministry that provides care packages to families who either have a baby in the NICU or are suffering the loss of an infant. Depending on the trimester in which the loss occurred, we provide memory quilts, memory boxes, miscarriage wrappers, bereavement gowns, and/or blankets. All our items include a card with a prayer for the family.
Our mission is to show parents the love of Christ at a time when their personal loss is hard to endure and to let them know that God is faithful.
